We are developing numerous research products which will be made available nationally, with potential for publication in peer review journals. There will also be training and development programmes offered widely across Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire in the form of a digital toolkit which will allow people to recognise support available to them.
If you have any expertise in behavioural change programmes, psychological and therapeutic treatments, methodology studies around trauma and complex needs, and are interested in research, we would love to hear from you. There will also be opportunities to support us at community-based events to raise awareness of the Chrysalis Centre
We envisage developing an alumni programme, where those who caused harm can share their journey through the Chrysalis Centre acting as an advocate promoting specific interventions via numerous channels. This can be a very empowering experience to help improve self-esteem by sharing lived experience to help raise awareness and develop new services. You can also be a peer mentor working with those who are still struggling with their behaviour. People who cause harm often feel isolated and hopeless. You can be in a unique position to offer positive support knowing first-hand how difficult their journey can be. The sense of accomplishment is huge when you help someone to achieve their goals.
